Green, digital and soft skills translation guides for colleges

Backed by Local Skills Improvement Fund money to support delivery of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Skills Improvement Plan, the further education provider Eastern Education Group needed to close green and digital skills gaps by building a shared language between employers and colleges. PolicyDepartment defined green, digital and soft skills in a regionally relevant way, mapped them to occupations, sectors and the local labour market, reviewed the language used across government and industry, and produced business-education translation guides plus a framework for collaborative engagement.
