Designing the interventions for an Investment Zone proposal

Pre-selected to host one of the UK Government's Investment Zones, the North East Mayoral Combined Authority needed to turn the opportunity into a robust proposal at pace, designing the package of interventions the funding would support. PolicyDepartment analysed approaches used in comparable initiatives, built an interventions long-list with logic models, developed options and selection criteria, refined interventions for value for money and outline outcomes, and developed the innovation narrative, drawing on the region's innovation prospectus.
